Scryve's Research Process

Scryve's proprietary research process has been developed over three years of analysis of coporate social responsiblity, consumer interests, and research methodology. We analyze the history of corporate decision making through over forty different indicators covering everything from carbon emissions to labor relations. These indicators cover specific issues like hazardous waste emissions as well as more general important areas of interest such as corporate governance.

  • Industry specific indicators and ratings
  • Clear, repeatable research process
  • Simple explanations

The breadth of our indicators ensures that end users get an overall understanding of a company's behavior over time. There is no single element of good behavior that can be met without regard for industry. Indicators are clearly specified for each industry, and every positive and negative aspect of company history is categorized and rated. If a company is in an industry with naturally low carbon emissions, than emissions policy will carry a lower weighting in the evaluation process. In an industry where carbon emissions are a significant part of company's responsibility signature the actions taken to curb those emissions will be weighted heavily.

Process

When a researcher begins a profile for Food Company X, they begin by creating an overview of the company history, brands and subsidiaries. Having rounded up this material, the researcher moves on to the individual indicators. Each of the thirty indicators is then researched and rated individually. The ratings are then weighted and averaged programmatically, and the researcher uses the information gathered for each indicator to write an explanation of the company record.
